We can make it together!
Don’t Give Up!
•September 29, 2009 • Leave a CommentListen to a guy named Nick Vujicic ,who was born with no legs or arms, whose testimony inspires his listeners to keep on striving toward the mark. I thought it appropriate to post it here on my blog for your inspiration as well. Remember, don’t keep trying ALONE! We can make it – together!
Dr. Oz Must Have Seen My Post!

I just turned on the television and to my surprise I am viewing a new show called “Dr. Oz”. He’s a well known physician that befriended Oprah Winfrey. The wonderful thing is that this segment is called “Dr. Oz’s Ultimate Health Challenge”. He told viewers about the “omentum”. Thats the fat that surrounds the waist. He stated that the waistline should be one-half your height in inches or less. That means I should be about 15 feet tall! Well, I’m not and I really have got some work to do on my omentum. And according to statistics, I am not alone!
He stressed that we should:
- Eat more fiber
- Drink more water
- Get some exercise
- and he added eat some protien (His examples were meat offerings, different from my talk because I’m doing vegetarian!)
He also talked about reducing belly fat by
- getting rid of High fructose Corn syrup and saturated fat.
- Get moving 30 minutes a day
- get rid of stress, it goes right to the belly (WOW)
He even gave a recipe for popcorn that will bust up belly fat! Add some olive oil to the popcorn instead of butter and sprinkle some some brewers yeast, a very rich source of B vitamins. I got a kick out of this one!
It sounds like more and more people are committed to improving the health of society by weightloss. I think Dr. Oz must have seen my Vlogs! IMHO, thats just what I think! :-)
